The Big Sky Town Center, along with help from the Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association (BSSHA), generous sponsors, hardworking volunteers and hockey and ice skating enthusiasts throughout the area have made the long time dream of having a full sized ice rink in Big Sky a reality. With the second season of the the Town Center Ice Rink, the Big Sky community has another great option for outdoor recreation and enjoyment!

It is both easy and affordable to become a member of the BSSHA! Membership provides access to skating in any time slot and allows you to rent the ice for your own private event. It also helps us to provide an ice skating facility for years to come.

January 1st, 2011 marked the Grand Opening of the new Town Center Ice Rink in the Big Sky Town Center and a the beginning of an annual tradition - the Annual Pavelich Invitational hockey tournament. This inaugural event drew over 25 local and area hockey players to the newly frozen ice and featured former Detroit Red Wing and four-time Stanley Cup Winner, Marty Pavelich on hand to drop the puck. After the game, the festivities continued with food from the Hungry Mexican, open skate and music until the sun went down. The BSSHA will host the 2nd Annual Pavelich Invitational on January 7th 2012, although with some good, cold weather the rink will be open well before then!
The Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association (BSSHA) is a Big Sky, Montana non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a facility and programs for the development of quality, affordable and disciplined competitive and recreational hockey for adults and children in Big Sky and to provide a facility for recreational ice skating.
